FTP (File Transfer Protocol)

As you progress you may, at times, have the need to access Joomla files directly on your server. There is a component for Joomla that helps you with this. We'll post a video on that later. For now, we recommend familiarizing yourself with an FTP client. IMPORTANT: FTP can be used to quickly access your site FILES on your server. FTP cannot however access your site DATABASE for backup purposes. We'll install a Joomla Component that backs up our database later.
